Like I guess, but how? Why? I guess I was hoping for more of a mystery/adventure。 Again, not the target audience。 I think middle grade kids (and kids who like James Patterson) would defiantly enjoy this book, even though it was, I think, a little heavy obviously with the main characters being dead。 I just wish it was handled a bit better and made a bit more exciting。 。。。more

Good start, short chapters with cliff hanger endings will draw in readers。 But dragged a bit, was didactic in parts, and the "Oh yeah, I'm dead and。。。" repeats got old fast。 Good start, short chapters with cliff hanger endings will draw in readers。 But dragged a bit, was didactic in parts, and the "Oh yeah, I'm dead and。。。" repeats got old fast。 。。。more

4。5 stars! This was a super fast paced, entertaining and emotional read。 I don’t know what I expected going into it, but it wasn’t to tear up on multiple occasions。 This is a beautiful and fun story that raises some strong points about what it really feels like to be alive, in a way that’s not heavy and very easy to stick with you。 To me the epilogue felt a little bit like a cop out - even though it was probably just meant to be seen as a happy ending。 It’s a personal preference of mine and so t 4。5 stars! Best nerds forever by James Patterson and Chris Grabenstein ; narrated by Mark Sanderlin。 This middle grade novel was fun, but it also stressed some serious points, the main one being not to let fears control and waste your life。 Finn was a likeable character and a good friend despite usually being on the periphery, watching his friends enjoy themselves。 It also showed what good friends he had to let him be who he was and not force him to do what he didn’t want to do or ridicule him when h Best nerds forever by James Patterson and Chris Grabenstein ; narrated by Mark Sanderlin。 This middle grade novel was fun, but it also stressed some serious points, the main one being not to let fears control and waste your life。 Finn was a likeable character and a good friend despite usually being on the periphery, watching his friends enjoy themselves。 It also showed what good friends he had to let him be who he was and not force him to do what he didn’t want to do or ridicule him when he wouldn’t fully participate。 He meets another girl like him, and they become friends and grow to overcome their fears together。 It was a fun and uplifting book。 The narrator did a great job as well, voicing the various characters and causing no confusion as to who was speaking。 I thank Libro。fm for the chance to listen to and review this audio book。 。。。more

The only thing that kept me listening (free LibroFM choice for educators) was the short chapters - classic James Patterson。 It really wasn't about the group of friends, and I really didn't get to know the characters well, either。 (Also, the epilogue。。。 seriously?!) Anyway, lessons preached - take those (safe) risks, and live your life。 The only thing that kept me listening (free LibroFM choice for educators) was the short chapters - classic James Patterson。 It really wasn't about the group of friends, and I really didn't get to know the characters well, either。 (Also, the epilogue。。。 seriously?!) *Received this book from Goodreads Giveaway*Meh。 Well, to be fair, I mostly liked the book for the true content but the Epilogue (last two pages) ruined the whole book for me! Major eye roll ending, hence the two stars。I get it's a YA book, but it was very repetitive。I died, dead, dead, met a dead girl, did I mention we are still dead。 We get it already。I will be donating the book to our local little library。 *Received this book from Goodreads Giveaway*Meh。 Well, to be fair, I mostly liked the book for the true content but the Epilogue (last two pages) ruined the whole book for me! Fast paced with short chapters - narrated by Finn who is dead。 After an accident on his bike sends him over the cliff, Finn is floating in the almost afterlife - not quite sent over as he has unfinished business。 He wants to find out who was driving the van that sent him over the edge。 He meets a girl who also has unfinished business and together they try to get closure so they can pass over。Humor, friendship, and family。

Nikki

This is a great middle school ghost story mixed with humor about not letting fear control your life。 Jump in that lake! Go up in that helicopter! Talk to that pretty girl or cute boy!

Lauren

A fun middle grade read with an unexpected twist at the end。

I think kids will love this。 Finn is biking home when forced off the road。 He steers towards the bushes at the side of the road, but ends up dying on the sharp rocks at the bottom of an embankment。 He comes back as a ghost who sees his family and friends having his funeral。 His "ghost" life goes on and he before he can go on he decides to solve the mystery of who forced him off the road on his bright orange bike。 He also decided to help the ghost of a missing girl so she can also move on。 Finn s I think kids will love this。 Finn is biking home when forced off the road。 He steers towards the bushes at the side of the road, but ends up dying on the sharp rocks at the bottom of an embankment。 He comes back as a ghost who sees his family and friends having his funeral。 His "ghost" life goes on and he before he can go on he decides to solve the mystery of who forced him off the road on his bright orange bike。 He also decided to help the ghost of a missing girl so she can also move on。 Finn sees the sad parts of his parents and friends grieving, but there are lots of fun parts where Finn is able to do the things ghosts can do to unsuspecting friends。 。。。more

Great little book! Finn and his new friend Isabella are “newly departed” and join together to discover the reasons why they have “unfinished business” on earth。 As they attempt to help each other complete their earthly business we learn about their friends & family。
